What is Parental Alienation?
It is described as a process through which a child becomes estranged from a parent as the result of the psychological manipulation of another parent. The child's estrangement may manifest itself as fear, disrespect or hostility toward the distant parent, and may extend to additional relatives or parties. The child's estrangement is disproportionate to any acts or conduct attributable to the alienated parent. Parental alienation can occur in any family unit, but is believed to occur most often within the context of family separation, particularly when legal proceedings are involved, although the participation of professionals such as lawyers, judges and psychologists may also contribute to conflict.

Meet our Presenters
Dr. Jeff Gardere, Ph.D. - America's Psychologist
Dr. Jeff is one of the most widely sought-after experts in the field of mental health. In addition to having a private practice in Manhattan, he is an Associate Professor and Course Director of Behavioral Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City.
Dr. Jeff is also an ordained Interfaith Minister with a Doctorate in Divinity from The New Seminary.
Dr. Jeff Gardere, better known as “America’s Psychologist”, is also a prolific author of four books and a contributing author of a half-dozen books including the brand-new text, “The Causes of Autism”.
In addition to being a respected academician, Dr. Jeff has been a contributor to the FOX network, the Today Show, MSNBC, and CNN.
Dr. Jeff was the host of VH1’s Dad Camp, and recently was the psychologist on The Housewives of Atlanta. He is also the aftercare coordinator and psychologist for Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court.

Dr. Lynn Steinberg, Ph.D.
Trained in the Family Systems model, Dr. Steinberg works with families, couples, groups, and individuals. She has specialized in working with children and adults abused as children for more than 40 years.
She worked in the courts as an expert on sexual abuse with children, adults, and in the workplace.
Her interest and background grew naturally to embrace the psychological abuse of Parent Alienation, which she has specialized in for the last 10 years. This includes false accusations of sexual abuse.
She offers a Four Day Intensive Family Reunification program for Alienated Parents and their alienated children. It takes place in Los Angeles.
She is an expert witness in Parent Alienation in the Childrens’ Court and Family Court. She can also testify to the treatment of members of the Alienated Family and assist with Court Appearances.
Dr. Steinberg is a trained Mediator and has mediated for the Superior Court.
